Good Morning All,
I hope everyone is doing well this morning and is surviving the heat and humidity. I wanted to make you guys aware of a local ministry opportunity to support one of our sister churches within the association. As you may know Edgewood Baptist Church of Windsor has, after suffering several flooding disasters over the years, has relocated to a higher spot of land to build new facilities a couple of miles from their original building. They have, by faith and hard work, stepped out to rebuild. Having successfully completed the building they are currently meeting in, without any real Sunday School or office space, they have begun building their new Sunday School space, Office space, and worship center. They have been able to successfully dry their new building in, but are in need of completing the interior framing and sheetrock work. We have successfully arranged for Baptist on Mission to send teams to complete most of the work needed for the interior work, however, the church is in need of some assistance with funding. They have depleted most of the funds they had for this project particularly since building materials have become very expensive to purchase. I am asking for you guys to consider reaching out to Edgewood to offer financial assistance in order for them to complete this project that has been in the making since 2016. To assist you in understanding the specific material needed and the cost of that material I have attached a material list and the cost associated with those materials.
I believe the resources to assist our sister church are here within the association. In fact I will be proposing that the Association lead in this effort to assist Edgewood with an amount the Administrative Support Team and I will agree on at our meeting next Tuesday June 20. Being a part of an association affords us the opportunity to be a part of something special in assisting our fellow believers on their God given journey to restoration. With this list you can choose an amount to help or perhaps purchase one of the line items altogether. In years past I have participated in opportunities like this and Sunday School classes or small groups within our church would buy doors, sheetrock, lumber, etc. Within a short period of time we had all of the necessary funding needed to complete our project. Perhaps we could do the same Edgewood. Even if you can do anything we can all pray for Edgewood and Pastor Chris Lee as they step out on faith to complete this building. The WCBA is one of the most generous associations I have ever been a part of and I am excited to see how the Lord will move among us to help meet this need. Thanks for your consideration. (BY THE WAY THIS IS AN URGENT NEED).
