Terry's Thoughts January 2021
Welcome to 2021! Isn’t it good to move beyond 2020?! As I am sure most of you would agree we have certainly changed over the last 10 to 11 months and for some it has been a difficult transition, however, for others we have discovered a new purpose in life. Without a doubt, as I look across the landscape of 2021, I see a group of churches ready and posed to restart what Christ had begun in 2020 prior to the pandemic striking. I am in fact excited to turn a page and see what is on the horizon for the WCBA.
Like many of you we (the WCBA) too are ready to restart what we had planned at the beginning of 2020, but with a twist. That twist consists of us realizing God has gotten our attention through this pandemic and we are determined to move forward only when told by God, obey Him without hesitation, and become the best resource the member churches of the WCBA has ever seen. Obviously, we may not be able to provide everything you may need in 2021, but we will make sure to connect you, when we are unable to assist, with those resources that our partners, throughout the state and country, have for your use. Our leadership teams are determined to assist and support you as you seek to do what He has called you to do. After all, we exist to serve you not the other way around. In fact, when you participate with your regular giving and presence, we are better able to serve all of you. I pray your churches have remembered us in your 2021 budgets as you have done faithfully for many years.
We do have a variety of events scheduled for 2021, however, everyone must understand that COVID circumstances may force us to adjust the way we deliver our assistance and as we slowly work back into our regular routines, we will be mindful of the importance of being safe. There have already been some associational postponements and cancellations, however, we will do our best to protect everyone while we also move forward with our regular programing. Finally, I would encourage you to stay connected with us on our website westchowan.org and in our regular newsletter. Obviously, that includes our offices as well. Remember we love you and look forward to a MUCH BETTER 2021 SERVING ALONGSIDE THE BEST ASSOCIATION IN OUR STATE!!
