The Bladen Association, headed by former Galatia pastor David Foster, is in desperate need of work teams to help in the recovery effort after Hurricane Florence, as they are in an area that is not receiving major attention even though they were hard-hit as well. More than supplies, their critical need at this juncture is for labor: teams to do tree and debris removal, tear-outs and mud-outs. If you or your church feel you can help in this effort, please see the information and fill out the sign-up form below:
- Teams will be staying in the Elizabethtown area and working from churches there.
- Volunteers must be fit to do the needed work and must bring their own sleeping bags/mattresses/cots, as well as old clothes to work in and personal items.
- Ideally, teams would be able to work 3-4 days a week, though 2-3 days would also be welcome and appreciated.
- Current work trips planned for OCTOBER 18-20 and 25-27. To register yourself or your church as a volunteer group, please click on the dates above.
These trips are meant to be supplemental to NC Baptist On Mission efforts and not a replacement. Volunteering for both or either is encouraged. There are many needs to be met.
